WHO WE ARE &
WHY WE DO THIS
At Linkkit, we believe play is more than fun; it’s a way to build connection, imagination, and autonomy. We are designers, parents, and dreamers who believe children deserve tools that spark creativity while respecting the planet.
Linkkit was born from a desire to rethink how we design and use clothing through play. We felt the need for something slower and more intentional, something that invites participation rather than simple consumption.
Instead of offering things already finished, we wanted to give children the freedom to shape their own stories. To let play become a space for expression, learning, and emotional balance, as well as joy.
This is the idea behind Linkkit: a modular textile system made of different kits that share a common language of pieces. Each kit opens a new world to explore, while still connecting with the others.
As children combine, expand, and reinvent their creations, the system grows with them, adapting to their rhythm, their curiosity, and the many ways they discover the world.

WHAT WE´RE MADE OF
Linkkit is made with intention at every stage, from the materials we choose to the way each piece is produced. We work with OEKO-TEX® certified textiles from European suppliers and manufacture in small batches to reduce waste and avoid overproduction.
Each kit is created with laser-cut precision and designed as part of a modular system where pieces can be reused, combined, and transformed over time. This flexible logic allows the system to grow, evolve, and stay in play longer.
Production happens in collaboration with local makers and small-scale partners. We value proximity, care, and transparency, ensuring that every piece is thoughtfully crafted to support meaningful play.
For us, sustainability is not a label but a commitment, a way of designing with respect for people, processes, and the world children will inherit.

MADE FOR GROWTH – TOGETHER
Play that nurtures confidence, regulation, and co-creation
We believe every child deserves a space to build themselves - softly, slowly, and with purpose.
Linkkit supports fine motor skills, autonomy, and emotional balance through the act of making.
Each piece invites children to plan, connect, and assemble, not only materials, but also
thoughts, gestures, and ideas.
As children design and wear their own creations, confidence grows. They explore, transform, and experiment at their own pace, free from pressure or predefined outcomes. For families, Linkkit becomes a shared moment, a chance to slow down, be present, and create together,
hands meeting across generations away from screens and noise.
Open and inclusive by design, Linkkit adapts to each child. There is no single way to use it, only space to explore, imagine, and grow. At its heart, it is a return to what matters most: time, touch, and the quiet joy of building something meaningful together.

WHERE WE´VE BEEN
Linkkit has grown through research, experimentation, and collaborations with institutions, designers, and organizations that believe in thoughtful design and the value of play.
Over time, the project has been recognized and presented in international design programs, awards, and events that support innovation, sustainability, and new perspectives on childhood.
These experiences have helped shape Linkkit and bring it into dialogue with a wider community of designers, educators, and makers who share the same vision: that play and design can create meaningful change.

LINKKIT is a modular textile creative system that allows children to build, connect, and explore through hands-on play.
Each kit contains a set of fabric elements designed with integrated textile tabs and openings that allow pieces to interlock without buttons, snaps or sewing.
By connecting the elements in different ways, children can experiment with shapes, structures and creative ideas while developing focus, coordination, and imagination.
LINKKIT is designed to encourage open-ended play, where there is no single correct result.
Each LINKKIT piece includes flexible textile tabs and openings.
Children connect the pieces by looping one element through another, creating stable textile connections that hold the structure together.
Because the pieces are modular, children can build many different configurations and gradually modify their constructions.
The system encourages experimentation, creative thinking, and problem solving through hands-on assembly.
LINKKIT is recommended for children aged 4 years and older.
Because the system may include detachable elements, the product is not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to potential choking hazards.
Younger children should always use the product under adult supervision.
Hands-on creative play supports multiple aspects of child development.
Through experimentation and assembly, LINKKIT can help encourage:
• creativity and imagination
• spatial awareness
• concentration and focus
• problem-solving skills
• fine motor coordination
The system invites children to explore ideas through learning by doing.
LINKKIT products are designed as creative textile play systems.
However, as with many modular toys:
• pieces are not edible
• they should not be placed in the mouth
• the product is not intended for climbing or supporting body weight
The system is designed for imaginative play and creative assembly under appropriate supervision.
LINKKIT is produced in collaboration with local makers and small-scale partners in Europe.
Production takes place in small batches in order to ensure quality, support responsible manufacturing and reduce unnecessary overproduction.
LINKKIT textile pieces can be gently hand washed when needed.
We recommend washing by hand with mild detergent and allowing the pieces to air dry naturally.
To preserve the shape and quality of the materials, avoid machine drying or high heat.
